The Aten Coin & School of American Law (SAL) Lviv Student Paper Competition

Purpose of the Award

The NAC Foundation, LLC (USA), IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law (USA), Ivan Franko University in Lviv (Ukraine) and Emerging Markets Researchers Foundation (Poland) announce the Aten Coin & School of American Law (SAL) Lviv Student Paper Competition. The awards are given for papers judged to be the best in the field of legal and business issues of digital currencies

The first prize is accompanied by a $10 000 scholarship to complete LLM at IIT/Chicago- Kent College of Law.

The second prize is accompanied by a $500 honorarium. The third prize is accompanied by a $250 honorarium Prizes will be awarded at the Aten Coin conference to be held in Lviv on May 2016. In addition, all finalists’ papers will be published at the Emerging Markets: A Review of Legal and Business Issues journal. The number of finalists will depend on the number of entries.

 

Terms:

1/ all SAL Lviv graduates and enrolled students are eligible to participate;

2/ submitted papers need to be the original work of authorship;

3/ the submitted papers need to be max. 15 pages – double spaced – Arial 12pt

4/ the abstract and author’s bio has to be attached

5/ applicants need to chose one of the following topics to write on:

  1. Digital currency – issues with anonymity and compliance.
  2. Digital Currency & Taxes Overview in Ukraine.
  3. Benefits and Shortfalls of AML Compliant VS Non Compliant Digital Currencies in Ukraine.
