Visit to the Nicolaus Copernicus University (EU4UA project)

As part of the Erasmus+ project “Modernization of Legal Education to Support Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic Integration” (EU4UA), professors from five Ukrainian Universities are visiting the Nicolaus Copernicus University. The purpose of the visit is to improve the qualifications of the faculty of Ukrainian higher education institutions to achieve excellence in teaching basic legal disciplines in accordance with the value-based approach of the European Union.

The Ivan Franko National University of Lviv is the main coordinator of the project, and the delegation from the Law Faculty includes: Doctor of Law, Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure Ihor Yakubivskyi, Doctor of Law, Professor of the Department of Administrative and Financial Law Andrii Shkolyk, Doctor of Law, Head and Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminology Nazar Bobechko, and PhD in Law, lecture of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology Yulia Kovalуk.

The study visit of Ukrainian scientists to the Nicolaus Copernicus University is one of the key activities planned under the EU4UA project. From September 9 to 13, the participants will highlight the challenges of the Europeanization process of constitutional, administrative, criminal, and civil law. The ideas and best practices of colleagues will help reform the educational process in Ukrainian law schools and update the curricula of relevant disciplines.
