From 1999 to 2004 he was a student of the Faculty of Law of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, graduating with a master’s degree in law.

From 2004 to 2005 he worked in the prosecutor’s office of Ukraine as an assistant and senior assistant district prosecutor. In November 2005, he enrolled in full-time postgraduate studies at the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminology of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, which he graduated in 2009.

In December 2009 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law in specialty 12.00.09 (criminal procedure and criminology; forensic science; operational and investigative activities) on “Return of the criminal case to the prosecutor from the stage of preliminary trial.”

From November 2008 to June 2012 he worked as an assistant at the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminology of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. In June 2012, by the decision of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, he was elected associate professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminology, and in 2014 was awarded the title of associate professor.

During his work at the department he developed and lectures on disciplines: “Prosecutorial supervision in Ukraine” for undergraduate students; special courses “Prosecutorial supervision over observance of laws by bodies carrying out operative-search activity, inquiry, pre-trial investigation”, “Bodies of criminal justice of the EU countries” for master’s students.

As part of the working group, he participated in the development of the draft Law of Ukraine “On the Prosecutor’s Office”, which was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on October 14, 2014.
