Kahnych Volodymyr Stepanovych, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative and Financial Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
Was born on November 13, 1985 in the village of Baniunyn, Kamianka-Buzka district, Lviv region. In 2003, graduated from high school with a medal. The same year entered the first year of the Law faculty of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, which he graduated in 2008. From 2008 to 2012, studied at a graduate school. In 2012, he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences on the topic: “Establishment and development of legal education and science at the Faculty of Law of Lviv University (XVII-XX centuries..): historical and legal research.”
Since September 2009, worked as an assistant at the Department of Fundamentals of Ukrainian Law, Faculty of Law, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
In 2014, the monograph “City-States and City Law in Medieval Europe” was published, which was awarded the DIPLOMA of the laureate of the St. Volodymyr Prize for the best scientific and practical publication in Ukraine.
In 2014, graduated from the School of Polish and European Law (as part of joint cooperation between the Ivan Franko National University and the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow).
Since March 3, 2015, has been elected as the head of the professional bureau of the Law Faculty of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
In 2016, the monograph “Legal Education and Science of Lviv University 1661-1939” was published.
On April 17, 2018, the badge of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine “Trade Union Victory” was awarded
Since September 2021, I have been working as an associate professor at the Department of Administrative and Financial Law of the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
Author of about 90 scientific works on the history of the state and law of Ukraine and foreign countries.
