Research interests: problems of Land Reform Policy in Ukraine; correlation of rights to land plots and residential buildings, buildings, constructions located on them; acquisition of land ownership on various grounds.

Biography

Fedorovych Volodymyr Ivanovych was born on 17 February, 1964 in the city of Rudky, Sambir District, Lviv Oblast. During the period of 1982-1984 he was in the regular military service.

In 1989 he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ivan Franko State University of Lviv.

Upon graduation from the university he worked as a legal adviser at the “Khlorvinil” production association (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast).

From December 1989 to the present time he has been working at the Department of Social Law: first as an assistant, and since 1998 as a Docent of the Department.

In 1998, under the supervision of Professor N.I. Tytova, he defended his thesis for the academic degree of Candidate of Law with specialization in 12.00.06 – Land Law; Agrarian Law; Environmental Law; Natural Resources Law on the topic: “Legal regulation of the establishment, reorganization and liquidation of agricultural cooperatives in Ukraine”.

In 2001 he was awarded the academic title of Docent.

Area of expertise – study of the problems of legal regulation of agrarian and land relations, including land ownership relations, grounds for acquisition and termination of land rights, organizational and legal forms of agricultural activities, etc.

He teaches the following lecture courses: “Land Law of Ukraine”, “Environmental Law of Ukraine”; special courses: “Legal Forms of Land Use in Ukraine”, “Legal Regime of the Land in Populated Areas”, “Judicial Protection of Land Rights of Citizens”, “Issues of Property Rights and Natural Resources in Ukraine”.

He is the author of approximately 150 scientific and educational publications.
