Biography

Doctor of Law, Professor

He was born on December 6, 1962 in the village of Yasenytsia, Drohobych district, Lviv region. In 1989 he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko Lviv State University.

From 1989 to 1996 he worked as a legal adviser to the Frankivsk district of Lviv, Lviv city and Lviv regional councils.

Since 1997 he has been an assistant professor at the Department of Fundamentals of Law, and since September 2003 he has been an associate professor at the Department of Theory and Philosophy of State and Law.

In February 1999 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law on the topic: “Formation of the Western Ukrainian People’s Republic and its state mechanism and activities of 1918 – 1923.”

He defended his doctoral dissertation “Magdeburg law and its application in Ukraine (XIV – first half of the XIX century.)” May 14, 2010.

Research interests: history of state and law.

Author of monographs and more than 50 articles.
