Interinstitutional Working Group Begins Work on Developing Recommendations for improving syllabi in constitutional, administrative, criminal and civil law
During a meeting of the Academic Board of the EU4UA project consortium, it was agreed to establish an Inter-University Working Group tasked with developing Recommendations aimed at enhancing the curricula of four fundamental disciplines to address issues related to Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
The working group included representatives of five Ukrainian law schools (Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Yuriy Fedkovych National University of Chernivtsi, and Zaporizhzhia National University), Nicolaus Copernicus University (Torun, Poland), Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania), and the Ukrainian Association of European Studies.
At the working group’s first meeting, the results of surveys conducted among students and employers on their interest in and need for knowledge about issues related to Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration were presented. In addition, they agreed on principles and outlined areas of joint work.
The group’s work generated substantial interest within the academic community. While the first meeting was attended by 16 participants, the number in the second meeting rose to 26. Consequently, it was decided to establish four subgroups to formulate recommendations for the respective disciplines.
