Course Overview: This comprehensive 30-hour professional development course is designed specifically for university educators in Ukraine who seek to enhance their expertise in European Union law and the process of integration into NATO structures. As Ukraine continues strengthening its relationship with the European Union and NATO, academic staff must deeply understand these institutions’ legal, political, and structural aspects to equip their students for an interconnected world better.
Course Structure:
Lectures: The course comprises 10 hours of lectures led by esteemed professors from prestigious European universities. These lectures address critical topics, including the foundations of EU law, the dynamics of European integration, NATO’s mission and framework, and the legal and policy challenges specific to Ukraine’s path towards integration.
Interactive Presentations: These interactive presentations supplement the lectures, enabling participants to engage deeply with course materials through case studies, role-playing exercises, and collaborative projects. This practical component is tailored to help educators translate complex concepts into accessible lessons for students.
Academic Articles and Resources: A curated selection of scholarly articles and policy papers provides participants with diverse perspectives and in-depth analyses of the European integration process and NATO’s evolving role. Quizzes and discussion prompts complement these resources to encourage critical engagement.
