Research interests

The range of academic and professional interests includes theoretical and practical aspects of the protection and use of agricultural land, the land market, land relation history development, urban planning legislation, and the protection of citizens’ environmental rights and citizens’ labour rights.

Biography

Taras Mykhailovych Zhyravetskyy (May 12, 1976, Lviv) is a lawyer, Candidate of Law.

Education:

In 1998, he graduated with honours from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and received a qualification of a lawyer.

From 1999 to 2001, he was doing his postgraduate course at the Department of Labour, Agrarian and Environmental Law at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Academic interests: land law of Ukraine, environmental law of Ukraine. He published more than 30 scientific works.

From September 1, 2001 to the present day, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Law in Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

In 2008, he defended his dissertation “Establishment and transformation of land ownership forms: a historical and legal study (as based on the materials of Ukrainian provinces within the Russian Empire)” within a scholarly specialty 12.00.01 – “Theory and history of the state and law; the history of political and legal doctrines”

Work experience:

Since December 26, 2003 a lawyer, according to the Certificate of the right to practice law No. 944.

From October 1, 2007 to October 1, 2008 – a Director of the Land Rights Department of “Management Consulting Group” LLP.

From October 1, 2008 to June 1, 2015 – a leading lawyer, head of the clinical program of the International Charity Organization “Environment. Law. People”.

From June 1, 2013 to the present day – a managing partner of “T&T Partners”, Law Company.
