Roman Shandra

Position: Associate Professor, Fundamentals of Ukraine’s law Department

Biography

Candidate of Law, Associate Professor, member of the International Association of Historians of Law, author of about 80 scientific and scientific-methodical works.

He was born on August 27, 1980 in the city of Lviv. From August 1997 to June 2002 he studied at the full-time department of the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

After graduation, he did an internship at the State Tax Administration in Lviv region, and then at the State Tax Inspectorate in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Lviv. From October 2002 to February 2003 he worked as a senior state tax auditor-inspector of the tax collection department of the State Tax Inspectorate in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Lviv.

From February 2003 to December 2004 he worked as the Chief Legal Adviser of the Financial and Analytical Department of the Lviv Regional Department for Bankruptcy of the Ministry of Economy and European Integration of Ukraine.

During 2004 he taught at the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Advanced Technologies at the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” on training courses for arbitration managers (property managers, reorganization managers, liquidators).

From 2005 to 2009 – graduate student of the Department of State History, Law and Political and Legal Studies. Since 2007 he has been an employee of the Department of Fundamentals of Law of Ukraine.

On November 11, 2010 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law on the topic: “Wallachian law and features of its application in the Ukrainian lands (XIII-XVIII centuries)”.

In 2015 he received the academic title of associate professor of the Department of Fundamentals of Law of Ukraine.
