He graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Lviv State Medical Institute (1968).

Worked: Doctor, chief physician of Novo-Kropyvnytskyi district hospital of Drohobych district of Lviv region (1968-69); postgraduate student (1969-72), assistant of the department (course) of forensic medicine (since 1973), head of the course of forensic medicine of the department of pathological anatomy of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, city forensic expert of the Lviv regional bureau of forensic medical examination 1973) until 2010. Associate Professor of Criminal Procedure and Criminology, Lviv National University named after Iv. Franco (since 1983).

Candidate of Medical Sciences (1973). Associate Professor (1999). Since 1995, the highest qualification category in the specialty of forensic examination has been awarded.

Areas of research: Author of more than 100 scientific and educational works. History of forensic medicine in Galicia, thanatology, forensic examination of gunshot wounds and other injuries, poisoning by drugs and psychotropic substances.
