Biography
Nazar BOBECHKO – Chairman of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, Doctor of Law, Professor.
He was born in 1979 in the city of Lviv. From 1996 to 2001 – a student of the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko State University of Lviv, who graduated with honors. In 2001-2002 he worked as a legal adviser at PE “Trans-Swan”. During 2001-2004 he was a graduate student of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminology of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
In 2005 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Law (specialty 12.00.09) on the topic: “Review of court decisions in exceptional proceedings.” In 2011 he was awarded the academic title of associate professor.
Under his guidance, in 2012 I. Vovk prepared and defended thesis for the degree of Candidate of Law on the topic: “Theoretical and applied problems of analogy in criminal procedure law of Ukraine”.
During 2013 he lectured at the National School of Judges of Ukraine.
In 2017 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Laws (specialty 12.00.09) on the topic: “Appeal and cassation proceedings in criminal proceedings in Ukraine.”
Author of more than 80 scientific and educational works.
