Research interests

Nataliia Barabash’s scientific activity is focused on the legal support of environmental relations, including land relations and the use and protection of resources.

Nataliia Barabash has authored about 70 scientific and educational publications.

Biography

Nataliia Barabash was born on April 23, 1983 in Dubno, Rivne region. In 2003, she graduated with honors from the College of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. In 2004-2005, she studied at the Faculty of Law, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, graduating with honors and receiving an educational and qualification level of the Master of Law.

In 2005-2006, she worked as a lawyer’s assistant. In 2006, she entered postgraduate studies at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

She defended the dissertation for the scientific degree of Candidate of Law in the specialty 12.00.06 – Land law; Agrarian law; Environmental law; Natural resources law – on the topic “Legal Regime of Lands Provided for Subsoil Use” under the supervision of Docent V.I. Fedorovych at the National University “Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University” (Kharkiv, 2012).

Since 2009, she has been working at the Department of Social Law, the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, first, as an Assistant Professor, and since 2014, as a Docent of this Department.

In 2019, the topic of her doctoral dissertation was approved, namely “The Right for Subsoil Use in the Legal System of Ukraine”. She is now at the final stage of her research.

07.08.2019  – 13.07.2019 – she participated in the Summer School of German Law (Bonn, Germany).

01.10.2020  – 23.01.2021, she completed an international online scientific and pedagogical internship at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bialystok (Republic of Poland) on the topic Scientific Activity in the Disciplines of Legal Sciences from a National and European Perspective (certificate No. 038).

01.10.2020 – 23.01.2021 – she studied at the Improvement of Teaching Skills program at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (CE certificate No. 02070987/000003-21)
