Опис курсу

The objective is acquiring knowledge about the origins, essence and practical significance of the European constitutional heritage by students.

The task is to provide training of highly skilled specialists with profound knowledge in the field of constitutional law, able to use them in their everyday life and professional activities in accordance with the system of constitutional values.

Learning outcomes. According to the requirements of the educational-professional program, students must:

Know:

  • Basic points of the doctrine of Common European constitutional heritage;
  • The origins of the European constitutional heritage;
  • The content of the European constitutional heritage;
  • The essence of the principles of freedom, equality, human rights, democracy, rule of law;
  • Features of the European constitutional heritage as a source of law;
  • Problems of the implementation of constitutional values in the EU member states

Be able to:

  • Operate fluently with legal concepts and categories within the special course topics;
  • To interpret the content of the principles that are the elements of the European constitutional heritage;
  • Analyse the peculiarities of the functioning of the public power system in terms of its compliance with constitutional principles;
  • Express logically and correctly their points of view on the implementation of the basic constitutional principles of the European constitutional heritage in Ukraine;
  • Qualify argumentatively the system of state governance as constitutionally restricted or unlimited;
  • Substantiate independently the essence of constitutional values and principles and practices of their violation.
